October Cabinet Meeting: 2021 Finance Bill discussed

The major innovations and implementation rules of the finance bill of the 2021 finance bill has been discussed by members of government.

The bill examined by government will be presented during the November session of parliament at the Senate and at the National Assembly for examination and adoption.

The Prime Minister – Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute presided over the session that began at 10 O’Clock via video conferencing.

The 2021 Finance Bill

The key speakers at cabinet meeting were the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Morale and the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousman Mey.

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, presented the major innovations to the finance bill that was elaborate following budgetary orientation debates in parliament during the June 2020 session of parliament.

The Minister of the Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey, on his part presented the profile of the investment budget as well as the degree of maturity of priority projects.

COVID19 Situation

The evolution of the corona virus pandemic was also under examination at the meeting.

The Minister of Public Health, Madaoua Malachi said that the recovery rate of the disease in Cameroon, currently stands at 96%.

He however, recalled the need to continue respecting barrier measures.
